Black Tent Photography started off as a sideline of our sister organisation, Black Tent Publications, offering photographic services alongside our publishing/bookselling activities.  As the  photography side of the business grew, we decided it needed its own identity and, of course, its own website.

Examples of our work

For some examples of our work, take a look at our online galleries. They cover a wide range of subjects, from animals, birds, wildlife and and butterflies to equine behaviour, breeds and equestrian sports and disciplines, and from historical re-enactments to stunt acts. We also have a growing collection of images of historical sites and buildings, such as Whorlton Castle and Durham Cathedral, as well as images of local interest (for example the stunning Infinity Bridge spanning the river Tees at Stockton-on-Tees, shown here:
